Was joking around at work about this...
could you ...
Start an Toy Disposal company in canada.
You pay people ot let you dispose their toys for them.
buy a warehouse in Canada.
house toys there.
List toys on canadian website ... blackmarkettoys.ca
ship toys to americans willing to buy them.
There is no law against BUYING/owning thse outlawed toys.
Is there Canadian law against selling them???
would it be a problem shipping that GIJoe to bobby in Texas?
just a thought..
otherwise I bet an underground black market will spring up...
Obama's wife won't lead the war on drugs...
she will have to lead the War on Toys...

http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20090107/ts_nm/us_salmonella_usa
Quoted from this article:
Salmonella outbreak sickens 388 across U.S.: CDC
There have been several recent high-profile outbreaks of foodborne illness in the United States, including a strain of Salmonella carried by peppers from Mexico and that sickened 1,400 people from April to August of 2007 and an E. coli epidemic in 2006, traced to California spinach, that killed three.
Salmonella-contaminated dry pet food sickened at least 79 people, including many young children, in October and November.

Okay people, if you don't know by now that pet food is for pets ONLY and you start eating it yourself or feeding it to your kids, then we've got bigger problems on our hands.
Sorry, I have no sympathy for people like this that got sick IF they had ingested the food...they all should know better. |

Just wanna share the item I made that is guaranteed lead-free and covered in the exemption, YAY! Sorry for the sarcasm, I'm just so sick of this new very vague and poorly written CPSIA law.

They touched a plastic bag. You sure the cotton balls are covered if they touched plastic? What a colorless world. |

oops. I think you're right! Also, what are they sitting on? It must be unbleached muslin to be exempt. How are they attached? The glue or thread has to be tested. And then what about the balls themselves? Looks like a definite choking hazard to me! |
