Yes, it's a big hush hush. If I ask in any store (hobby store that sells kits for children to make stuff, childrens apparel store and second hand children's stores that sells tons of bows in every color)
I either get the "what are you talking about" look or "no, this is lead free of caurse" and a very unpleasant approach.
I always go out of the store regretting I ever asked.
And it's not those peolpe that will help us anyway. Useless.. |

No need to purchase expensive compliance software or subsciptions. You can just generate CPSIA certificates online to save as PDFs with an easy-to-use form at:

These links don't work any more and these posts are from 2009, and therefore I want to ask if these third party testing issues are no longer applicable?
Because at this point I am just thinking that as long as my labeling is accurate, and I don't have any safety hazards (like unattached drawstrings, etc.) that I am on the right track.
Can someone let me know?
Thank you,
Melissa |

I'm also looking into these and am finding conflicting information. Are you going to be making small batch? I came across this info which seems to clarify for me a bit...there are exemptions depending on what your making and how much. Hope this helps, I'm still trying to sort through eveything myself. http://www.cpsc.gov/en/Business--Manufacturing/Small-Business-Resources1/Small-Batch-Manufacturers-and-Third-Party-/ |
