CPSIA & Prop 65 Revisited 2012

CPSIA hasn't gone away. I've been keeping an eye on it. Most troubling is that 28 different states have introduced legislation -which is sheer insanity. No manufacturer will be able to satisfy legal requirements in 28 separate jurisdictions. But anyway, here is run down of the recent meeting the AAFA had with the commissioners. There is more of course but I can't publish that. I also know that the AAFA amounts to big guns so you wonder what they have to do with you but trust me, they aren't and won't ever throw you under the bus. They look out for the interests of all apparel manufacturers quite simply because it is in their best interest to. Which is not to say they will do things for you. That's my job. You come to me, I go to them. It's why I pay $4,000 a year in membership fees to belong (so paying $45 a year for this is nothing). But anyway.

One of the commissioners retired. I know this section is public but he was a jerk. The commission is less divisive in both tone and execution since he left. At long last, the commission agrees that total lead isn't as important as is accessibility. I'll post more stuff later.
