Pattern Puzzle: leather bulls

I saw these one-piece, fold-up, no-sew leather bulls at one of the leather supplier’s booths at Premiere Vision in Paris (just now getting around to posting about the show) and I thought they were too cute. Really, what a clever way to show color and hide samples of their product line? So, the challenge for today boys and girls -lame, I know- is to make a one piece pattern for these bulls. A larger image is available if you need it.

Don’t exactly know what the pattern would be good for…to make children’s toys?

…Now onto other challenges I’m behind in posting.

I’m not a pattern-maker, so I wouldn’t know where to start, but these are adorable. They would make cute children’s toys, although most toddlers I know would chomp right down on those ears right away. They’d look great on a mantle, too, next to a pair of candlesticks, to add a bit of whimsy to a room. I love them, Kathleen. Thanks for sharing.

I have a small, leather killer whale (orca) made with what I imagine is the same technique. It came from Alaska. It’s all one piece except the dorsal fin which is inserted through a slit.
