I have another blog I haven’t told anyone about. Or not many anyway. In light of the New York Times “article” One Size Fits Nobody: Seeking a Steady 4 or a 10, this is as good a time as any to mention it. The site is Vanity Sizing.com; what a surprise. I decided to put all the vanity sizing content over there to keep things tidier. I still haven’t imported the salient entries but I will soon. Anyway, go look around, kick the tires and read my latest post which ponders the motivations of writer and editor to publish yet more fabricated silliness about our favorite societal myth -vanity sizing.
And if you’re new to these parts, there’s no such thing as vanity sizing. Really. Here’s the first of 16 parts (on this site) explaining all the sordid gory details. My point being, everybody thinks vanity sizing is the problem so we’re not working on the real issues for which we can be held accountable. Consumers who gnash their teeth over vanity sizing can be safely ignored. However, were they to be better informed, they could hold our feet to the flames. I look forward to it; it would be a much more productive conversation than the ones we’re having now.
