And we’re back!

If you missed the excitement, the site was down most of the day. Some naughty boys with too much time on their hands took down over 6,000 sites, this being one of them. I thank my host (Canvas Dreams) for resolving the issue as quickly as they could and I thank all of you who sent word. I do appreciate that because I may not have know.

I only did a cursory poke around but it seems the site and forum has all its arms and legs, let me know if you experience differently.

If this has ever happened to you, you know I was a nervous wreck all day. You really don’t know you’ll get all your data back until it’s back. I imagine posting will resume as usual tomorrow -when my heart rate is back to normal.

I am glad you got this resolved so quickly. I was shocked, and did a search on the hacker and was amazed to find out what I did. Makes me rethink my own safety, at least something good has come out of this.

What a scary thing to have happen! I couldn’t believe it when I tried to get to your site. So glad your computer folks were able to put everything back in place. I hope the hackers’ ears will be properly boxed, the silly curs!

While laws…domestically & internationally are changing all the time on Cyber Crime…thus far in too many cases the punishment does not fit the crime….and should be infinitely more severe…

(Like head on a stake severe).

Sorry if that offends anyone out there….but if you have been hacked or know someone that has you likely may feel similarly…

Naughty boys, indeed. I have worse words, that cannot be posted, for people like them. This scared the socks off me, when I popped in for my regular visit. I’m glad your host was on top of things.

I saw SewingWorld.com get pirated/hijacked several years ago, and an entire discussion board gone. Some other people started StitchersGuild/Artisanssquare and we migrated to it.

Oh, I just thought you were being edgy to get our attention. I had no idea there was trouble. Of course that’s how I go through life…thinking everything is perfect.

Girl, if your heart rate goes up that much, you need a better data backup protocol, and better disaster recovery plan.. Write me, seriously.
