Seventh Anniversary!

hippy_bathdairy_fashion-incubatorHappy birthday to us, happy birthday to us, happy birthday dear uh-us, happy birthday to us!

Can you believe I forgot our own birthday? For some reason, this year I thought it fell on the 14th -it’s the 12th- and was wondering why in previous years, I’d never connected F-I’s birthday with Valentine’s Day. I’m getting old.

I can’t thank you all enough for your continued support and loyalty over the past seven years and can only endeavor to continue to be worth your effort and time to read these missives as we move into our eighth year of publishing. I thank all of you from the bottom of my heart.

Claudine, when I started the blog I was single and my valentine’s days were a bit pathetic. Until I met Mr. F-I of course. Btw, he’s the one who harangued me to start a blog. At that time, I wasn’t even sure I knew what they were.

  2. Ok, I was convinced that I remembered Mr F-I being slowly revealed in the blog in 2005/6 but when I checked back the posts I was thinking of were all in the first half of 2005. And in the post where you referred to yourself as a single, cereal-eating woman over 40 you didn’t, not exactly.

My memory couldn’t be right anyway because you got married before I did, and I got married in 2006.

Congratulations Kathleen, and thank you Eric!

  3. Seven fabulous years… and counting!!!! Today in class, my advanced students, who use your book as their text were discussing how valuable the book is to their learning. You are the best of the best and I am so happy I had time to stop in today and see that this is the anniversary of your great blog. Thanks so much.

Happy anniversary, F-I. My day would not be complete without reading F-I, so thank you, Kathleen, and Mr. F-I too.

Happy Anniversary! You are the first thing I read in the morning when I turn my computer on. Yea, I know, I’m retired….this is how I keep up, and how I learn things I never knew. Thank you, Eric, for your part in this. Thank you, Kathleen, for all that you share with us. Keep it coming, girl!

Happy Anniversary, F-I, and a HUGE thank you to you, Kathleen. Not only for all the work you do here and the valuable information that you freely share with all of us, but thank you, from me personally. You’ve educated me in more areas than I can count, you’ve kept me from costly mistakes, you’ve taught me to recognize “what I don’t know” and you’ve taken time with me one on one to help me along the way. I cannot thank you enough for all you’ve done. You are an inspiration to me, and I’m so grateful for you!!!

HAPPY BELATED ANNIVERSARY! I am so glad you EXIST. You do a FANTASTIC JOB. You wrote a FANTASTIC book. I am not a ‘production’ seamstress/designer/alterationist, but I learned ALOT from your book. THANK YOU! THANK YOU for spending an ENORMOUS amount of time on your blog. I totally understand the amount of time it takes. You also have a REAL life with your family and your ‘work for pay’. THANK YOU and MANY more HAPPY ANNIVERSARYS. BEST from Cheryl :)
