This was posted on another board I am on, and I thought if you were in Colorado, you might like to attend.

Quote:
Thursday, Jan. 8th @ 10 AM
Ambajam Offices
3457 Ringsby Court
Taxi 2, Suite 107
Denver, CO 80216

And the longer version from the invitation I received:

As you know or may not know, the CPSIA (Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act)
that will go into affect on Feb. 10, 2009 will dramatically affect all big and small companies
within the juvenile products industry.

CPSIA redefines the legal meaning of “children’s products,” “child care articles,” and “toys”
to cover virtually ALL products designed for use by and/or in relation to children 12 years
old and younger, as well as all products designed to “facilitate sleep or the feeding of children
age 3 and younger, or to help such children with sucking or teething.” Due to the ambiguity
and poor consideration of this vaguely written law, it has the potential to force many of us
out of business if it is not amended.

Congrats from Colorado will be holding a forum on Thursday, January 8th at 10AM
to discuss the facts (vs. fiction) of this law, how it will affect us and what we can do to get
the act properly ammended.

Our intent is to become educated on this important issue, establish steps to take,
and raise awareness among local media and government officials.

Please join us and invite others in the industry. RSVP by 1/6.

Thank you! Olivia
Baby Candy & Congrats from Colorado

Thank you, Tina. I'll try my best to clear the calendar and get there.

Rhetorical question: Why is it always drop & run? Can anyone plan an event anymore?

I heard it was good. 38 people showed up. They had Jennifer Taggert on the phone for Q & A. They had invited a local news outlet to come by but they were a no show.
