PS. excuse any typos etc; I’m posting ad hoc and willy nilly via iPad and don’t have the benefit of spell check and what not.
I’d like to win! I want to learn more about having fabrics custom printed for small projects.

Me too! :) I’d love to create my own fabric..
Hand dyeing fabric for quilts is one of my favorite hobbies. Can’t even begin to imagine the help this would be for my soon-to-be-started clothing business. PS Thanks for all the info you provide.
I have been playing around with Dyeing (Not my best results thus far…. :-( UGHH). i am a beginner so this book should help alot–thanks!
Well, Kathleen, when I first read the title I thought, “Why would I want to dye my pockets?” I was thinking perhaps an alteration…what to do with men’s dark suits that have that white waistband curtain and white pockets that really look tacky. Oh well, I’d still love to read the book!! Cheers.

Would love to win this.
I have some experience with dying for film, TV and theatre projects but alway have been on the look out for an industry book. Thanks for the link to OPR… even if I don’t get a free book , I still feel like a winner….books are my friends that I can always use more of:)
That book lookd fascinating! I’d love one.
This seems like a truly terrific book. It is hard for a new sewing entrepreneutr to get knowledge on fabrics and dying or printing them. Yet this knowledge is essential when designing sewn products. I would hate to have a product “fail” because of something that I didn’t know about the fabric. Thanks for the pointer to this valuable book! I hope that I win it!
This book looks fantastic!! I hope I win!
Would love to give dying or printing a try! Thanks for hosting this giveaway!
This would be a very resourceful book to add to my library. Would love to win it.
I would love to learn how to dye fabric that holds the color from washing. This books sounds very interesting, and hopefully it uses products that are easily obtainable. If I don’t win, I plan to purchase the book anyway. And thanks for recommending it Kathleen, I respect your opinion!!
The first thing I would like to try is to over dye wool.
I am working on printing acrylic fabric for tropical outdoor use. This looks like a good reference book to have handy.
I would love a free book about dying! And ditto – thanks for hosting this giveway.
This sounds interesting, but my interest is only academic right now. Please pass me over if I come up winner on this. I would rather it went to someone who will put it to active use. I may buy it. Thanks for letting us know about this book.
Sounds intriguing. And though I know I shouldn’t distract myself further, I would LOVE to learn more about dying and how I can customize my fabric.
Thanks!
I am exploring ways to customize fabric I would love a look at this book, thanks for the giveaway
Great giveaway, Kathleen!
My partner and I are beginning to research domestic fabric sourcing…Made In the USA! Please wish us luck! :D

This book looks great! I’ve been checking out these types of textile books from the library, but none of them seem to be very throrough/cover all the bases. This seems perfect for my needs!

hmhm, that would be the second book. , with the testing and quality being the third.
You find the most interesting books. Please put me in for your draws.
I’m curious to know how many DEs do custom fabrics etc. This book certainly would be interesting!
Fonda, you give me too much credit (really, you do). I just fake it well from here.
All in good fun… I was showing the comments to a colleague and she smiled and said -in reference to all the “dying” (instead of dyeing)- “what do you say Kathleen? My condolences?” In that light, Yvonne’s comment made me laugh all the more. Good naturedly of course.
I don’t have spell check on this ipad or if I do have it, it is not as exuberant about highlighing my transgressions as Firefox. Which is a round about way of saying, I have to be more wary about cleaning up my own spelling sins… not that “dying” is a misspelling of course but a matter of diction.
A lovely prize to celebrate going back to school!!
Sandy, and anyone else planning to buy the book based on Kathleen’s reccomendation – Kathleen did not recommend this book over others. She has it to give away, that’s it.
Would love to read this book.
I’m such an idiot I thought it was about dyeing pockets. Mind you, nice pockets can be a plus in anything, but hand-dyed seems a bit excessive :-)..
Looks interesting!
Well Kathleen~
I hope (in all FUN) you are not dieing lol I reference to your friends comments!!!!! haha :-)
