Archives 4/3 – 4/9 2005-2008

I know you’ve been waiting with bated breath all day for this. [And to the person who wrote me, bated is correct; baited breath is incorrect. Ditto for my use of whit vs wit as in “not one whit”.] Seriously, it’s Friday, a Good Friday. Evidently, it’s even a grammarian good Friday. Between Jews and Christians, I think New York shut down altogether, all of today’s calls went unanswered. Is everyone else off making happy happy for the kiddos? Easter is my favorite holiday. Other than that it is spring, I have my choice of chocolate easter eggs at Walgreens.

Enough of formality, here’s the list of entries from the archives previously published on this site over the past four years. Have a nice holiday -and don’t forget to click through for the whole list.

Aww, that was cute and sweet.

I always liked the different holiday Reeses Peanut Butter Cups because the chocolate is the same width all the way around instead of thicker on the side and thinner on top and bottom. I think the holiday ones are bigger, too.

NY is going to be mostly shut down till after April 16, which is the last day of Passover (Kathleen, you probably already knew that, but for anyone who didn’t…). :-)

Wha-wha-wha- what? Holiday Reeses Peanut Butter cups? Oh this is so not fair! I didn’t know those existed. Bummer. I guess Las Cruces is too small a market to rate porting those in. Then again, for all I know they’re everywhere. I don’t do the shopping in this household. Part of my pre-nuptial agreement, kwim?

You wouldn’t know it was Good Friday here. My church didn’t even have a service today!

@lisa b in portland – let me just say this… don’t mess with the perfection of the original reeses peanut butter cup! Even the “fun size” messes up the chocolate to peanut butter ratio.

They have Easter eggs, Christmas trees, probably something for Halloween, dunno what else. I can’t eat them anymore anyway–processed sugar, milk, and corn syrup do such lovely things to my body. Don’t worry, I’ve found chocolate with none of that in it.

My church had a Passover seder and tied it into Easter. I’m still full.

MMmmm, Corn syrup. Have they figured out EXACTLY WHY this stuff is bad for you? I have a corn allergy, so I know it’s bad news for me.

    Hi Kathleen,

Thanks for commenting on my blog. I appreciate it!

I realize that fashion trends are driven by what’s going on now, including sizing, demand, marketing, research, etc. My whole thing was looking in other departments for similar clothing items to save a few buck.

    Great blog, by the way!
